Seattle's Inebriation Inauguration Celebration

On January 20th 2009, join these six Seattle bars for extra special happy hours.

7 Nites welcomes Barack Obama to the presidency

Moxie
Come on down to Moxie for a Donkey Kong (it'll be blue and it'll be good), the Armored Car, and of course an Obama Mama. We will also have "All-American" food specials all night. And from 8-10 PM for just $3 you can get yourself a shot of the "1st 100 Daze", 100 proof vodka, lemonade, splash of 7, served up shot style to go down as a toast to Barack's first 100 days.

Murphy's
Opening at 8 AM, come get a front row seat to the swearing in ceremony and all the live coverage beginning at 9 AM. Watch all the excitement with a nice cold Bloody Mary, but not just any Bloody Mary, we've replaced the celery with a branch of "Barackoli". Be the first on your block to try one. Domestic beers are on special ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT to celebrate being American!

Balmar
Celebrate change at the BalMar on Inauguration Night. Doors open at 5pm. Enjoy drink specials such as the Baraktail -- it's crisp, clean, and strong, yet complex. And most importantly, it's completely refreshing. In the spirit of hope, we’ll be doing a food drive for the Ballard Food Bank. Bring a non-perishable food item and help create change for Ballardites in need. The night will feature Obama/inauguration-themed Trivia upstairs, starting at 7:30pm. If you have a group of 10 or more, reserve seating in advance at lounge@thebalmar.com or 206-297-0500.

Del Rey
Come down to Del Rey for our Inauguration Celebration, beginning at 4pm and featuring drink and food specials inspired by some of our favorite political figures of the recent election. Craving a taste of the Midwest? Try our "Joe the Plumber," a delicious bbq pulled pork sandwich and homemade potato chips washed down with an ice cold PBR- all for only $8! The more sophisticated palate might enjoy our "Biden" special, consisting of crab cakes and a Deleware-inspired "Blue Hen" cocktail. And just wait to see what we've come up with for the "Wasilla!"

Capitol Club
Doors opening at 8am for breakfast buffet that is $10 for all you can eat - $4 bloody mary's and $4 mimosas - big screen upstairs and TV's downstairs and in our Blue Room - Minors are permitted downstairs if they would like to come and watch - we will also be doing lunch and drink specials all day/night long.

Magnolia Village Pub
Come enjoy ObamLettes and $4 bloody Marys and mimosas until 3pm. After 3 PM ObamaCosmos are just $5 until close. And don't miss the Inauguration Ball party at the Magnolia Village Pub with a Champagne Toast.
